April 2, 2026 – We are deeply saddened by the passing of Howard E. Grant, whose dedicated service for more than 27 years as Executive Director with the First Nations Summit profoundly shaped and supported First Nations communities across British Columbia. Howard’s tireless work, wisdom, and guidance touched countless lives and strengthened the voices of First Nations people.
Beyond his extensive professional contributions, Howard was a devoted family man. He cherished his loved ones, and his warmth, kindness, and sense of humour enriched both his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service, mentorship, and care will continue to inspire his family, colleagues, and the entire Musqueam community.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Howard’s wife Deb, his children, grandchildren, and all who were touched by his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
