An amazing opportunity to be an advocate and provide support to Indigenous People as part of our Through an Aboriginal Lens Program is available at the moment.

We are looking for an individual that is highly motivated, creative and who possesses work experience developing and facilitating informational workshops and Knowledge Exchange gatherings. This includes engaging in events that provide opportunity to deliver information to the community at large and experience creating informational resources. This individual also should have the ability to speak publicly about difficult issues and to do so in a manner that can capture an audience with fun and interactive skills and tools. As a Knowledge Transfer Exchange Worker you will connected to the Indigenous Culture and traditional practices that will guide your work from an Indigenous world view.

 

We are looking for and individual with basic knowledge or understanding of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), very good presentation skills and public speaking mannerism, very good knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office as well as excellent communication skills and special attention to detail to be able to create quality and effective content with the highest standards of grammar and graphic ingenuity.

TAL Workers are part of the Native Courtworker and Counselling Association of B.C.. They belong to the B.C.GEU and the salary is in line with the salary grid for the TAL Program. Among other benefits, you will have 3 weeks of holidays after your first year of work and will earn 1.5 sick days per month. You will also be eligible for extended medical and dental benefits, LTD, Life Insurance, AD&D and employer contribution towards your pension plan.
