Through this first-of-its-kind program in B.C., we are assisting the two communities of Nanaimo and Williams Lake in reaching out to Indigenous youth between the ages of 12 and 18 to empower them whenever they need additional support to reach their full potential. Understanding the unique strengths and challenges our Indigenous young people face, we believe we can help them make decisions that positively impact their lives.

We are looking for an individual that is highly motivated, creative and who possesses the leadership abilities to be able to guide its Support Workers (2) in Williams Lake through the process of providing guidance and helpful resources and tools to better support the Indigenous youth. You must have a great Business Acumen understanding to be able use budgets, data analysis and other tools to achieve the best possible outcomes for the program.
As a Program Manager you must be connected to the Indigenous Culture and traditional practices that will guide your work from an Indigenous world view. This position will be based in Williams Lake.
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and a demonstrated ability to work with Indigenous people. Preference will be given to individuals with an indigenous background as per section of Section 41 of the Human Rights Code.

The Program Managers salary is in line with the salary grid for the specific funder. All positions with the Association are subject to the continuation of funding. Among other benefits, you will have 3 weeks of holidays after your first year of work and will earn 1.5 sick days per month. You will also be eligible for extended medical and dental benefits, LTD, Life Insurance, AD&D and employer contribution towards your pension plan.
